Franklin County got past Jac-Cen-Del 51-47 in boys basketball heard last night on WRBI. The Wildcats Isaiah Kemp led all scorers with 15 points; teammate Carson Allen added 12. The Eagles were led by Chase Youngman’s 14 points and 11 from Darian Grieshop.
In other boys hoops action last night, it was Oldenburg Academy over Purdue Poly North 65-37.

In girls games Tuesday night, South Ripley bounced South Dearborn 58-27. Kayia Rinear had a game high 23 points for the Raiders. Teammate Claire Samples added 16 and notched her 100th career steal…Trinity Lutheran upset Class 1A #4 Oldenburg 55-32. The Twisters fall to 16-3…South Decatur nipped Edinburgh 37-36…and it was Switzerland County over Jac-Cen-Del 66-52.
Batesville 8th grade boys basketball held off Greendale 40-35 in one SEI Tournament semifinal. It was St. Louis over East Central 40-34 in the other semi. The Bulldogs and Cardinals will meet for the championship tomorrow night at Batesville Middle School.
In the 7th grade SEI Tourney, Batesville defeated South Ripley 30-17. The Bulldogs will host the Jac-Cen-Del Eagles for the title tomorrow night.
In college basketball, Ohio State upset 11th ranked Purdue 73-70 last night in West Lafayette. The loss snaps the Boilermakers’ 26-game home winning streak. Purdue drops to 15-5 overall and 7-2 in the Big Ten.
Coming up tonight, the Indiana Hoosiers visit Northwestern.
