South Ripley swept the girls and boys Ripley County Tournament championships for the first time in school history last night in Versailles, in a pair of games heard on WRBI. Kaiya Rinear’s last second put back lifted the Raiders over the Batesville Bulldogs 46-44 in the girls title game. South Ripley rallied from a 22-7 deficit to pull out the victory and clinch back-to-back county tourney championships. In the boys title game, South Ripley improved to 12-0 with 63-51 win over Batesville. Cole Henry led the Raiders with 18 points followed by Drew Volz with 16 and Blaine Ward with 13. Cade Kaiser led all scorers with 21, followed by Bulldog teammates Jared Hughes with 15 and Trenten Luers with 13.
