Lawrenceburg edged Franklin County 48-45 in boys basketball heard last night on WRBI. Also last evening, it was Oldenburg Academy over Morristown 59-44.

In girls hoops, Class 1A #13 North Decatur knocked off South Ripley 53-38…South Decatur beat Jac-Cen-Del 47-34…Jennings County stopped East Central 43-34…and Switzerland County rolled over Milan 57-26.

Batesville went on the road and took two from North Decatur in boys middle school basketball. It was the Bulldog 7th graders over the Chargers 45-42. BMS dominated in 8th grade play 48-8…Also in 8th grade action, St. Louis hammered St. Michael’s 40-7. Cam Anderson celebrated his birthday by leading all scorers with 10 points.

Congratulations to South Ripley’s Blaine Ward, who netted ORVC Boys Basketball Co-Player of the Week honors for November 25-30. Ward poured in 45 points, grabbed 12 rebounds, and dished out 11 assists in two games. He also scored his 1,000th career point vs. Rising Sun. North Decatur senior Madi Allen has committed to play basketball next year at Taylor University. Allen recently scored her 1,000th career point in a game against Batesville. She is a four-year starter for the Chargers.

The Raptors beat the Pacers 122-111 in NBA Cup play in Toronto last night. Indiana’s road trip continues tonight against the Brooklyn Nets. WRBI airtime is 7 p.m.
