Class 3A #1 Greensburg clobbered Seymour 83-33 in girls basketball heard Saturday on WRBI. The Lady Pirates improve to 7-0 on the season. Elsewhere, East Central got past South Ripley 40-36. Sophomore Audrina Dugan led the Trojans with 10 points…Class 1A #16 North Decatur rolled over Knightstown 60-27. Madi Allen scored 32 points and Carmen Thackery added 11 for the Chargers…And it was Oldenburg Academy over Henryville 53-38.

South Dearborn edged Franklin County 45-41 in a boys basketball game heard Saturday night on WRBI. In other action, it was South Ripley over Rising Sun 84-39. Blaine Ward led the way for the Raiders with 24. He also scored his 1,000th career point. Cole Henry added 19, including six dunks; Blake Gunter had 13 and Chancie Volz contributed 11 points…And it was Yorktown over Greensburg 55-47. Jack McKinsey led the Pirates with 24 points while teammate Jacoby Miller added 10.

The Memphis Grizzlies dropped the Pacers 136-121 in a game heard yesterday on WRBI. Indiana falls to 9-12.

In the NFL yesterday, the Pittsburgh Steelers outgunned the Bengals 44-38 in Cincinnati. Steelers quarterback Russell Wilson, playing in his hometown, passed for 414 yards and three touchdowns. With the loss, the Bengals fall to 4-8…The Colts got past the New England Patriots 25-24 in Foxboro. Indianapolis quarterback Anthony Richardson converted a two-point conversion with 12 seconds remaining to win it. The Colts improve to 6-7.

In college football, Purdue has fired head coach Ryan Walters. The Boilermakers were 5-19 in two seasons under Walters, including 1-11 this year. Purdue was winless this season in Big 10 play.
