
In college basketball, 6-foot-10 Alabama transfer Aiden Sherrell announced his commitment to Indiana on Wednesday. The former McDonald’s All-American played two seasons at Alabama. As a sophomore, he averaged 11.1 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game with the Crimson Tide. Sherrell blocked 76 shots this past season, the most by any player in the SEC. He also scored in double-digits 20 times.
The NFL Draft starts a week from tonight in Pittsburgh. The Cincinnati Bengals have the 10th overall pick. The Indianapolis Colts do not have a first round selection. Their first draft pick will come at No. 47 in the second round.
The Indiana Fever keep making roster moves prior to the start of the pre-season. They have signed nine-year WNBA veteran Shatori Walker-Kimbrough. She was previously with the Atlanta Dream. Walker-Kimbrough was the sixth overall pick by the Washington Mystics in the 2017 draft.
