Special Olympics Indiana Ripley Ohio Dearborn held their annual Fire Truck Pull at Downtown Lawrenceburg on Saturday, August 18th.
Fastest Pull Competition
1. Aurora Recreation Community Center 15.30 seconds (Members and National Guard)
2. Team Drew 16.24 seconds (SO Athlete, Drew Schnebelt, Family and Friends)
3. Whiskey City Roper Burners 16.71 (L’burg city employees and area firefighters)
High School Challenge – South Ripley High School
Lightest Combined Weight Competiton
1. Team Aaron 1,355.4 pounds (SO Athlete Aaron Russell, family and friends)
(Teams attempt to pull with the least number of members, anyone on the rope pulling is weighed, weights are added together to determine the winner)
Current gross funds raised is approximately $22,000
Team Drew – raised the most money as a team $6,751
Chris Powell – raised the most money as an individual $3,000 (Team Drew)
Drew Schnebelt – raised the most money as a Special Olympics Athlete $1,280
