Harrison, OH—Several residents were recognized at Harrison’s October 1 City Council meeting. Matt Hackworth (left) was sworn in as a new Council member by Mayor Bill Neyer. Hackworth, most recently a Harrison Planning Commission member, is filling the vacated seat of Urbano Galindo who moved out of state.
Also during the meeting, Police Chief Charles Lindsey (left) presented Police Chaplain Chris Sheneman with the Harrison Police Department Exemplary Service Award and Exemplary Conduct Award for his dedication to officers and residents the last four years. Finally, Kevin Maas of JTM foods presented an update to Council about the company’s continued growth. JTM, the City’s largest employer, now has over 500 associates and has seen its recent $80 million factory expansion rise to full speed. Maas said the company expects to experience double-digit growth this year, nearing the $250 million annual sales level.
