Southeastern Indiana REMC announces peak control event

Osgood, IN—A critical peak load control event will occur from 5-8 p.m. EDT on July 2. Please reduce energy use.

Suggestions to reduce energy include:

1. Shutdown your computer
2. Set thermostat at 75 degrees
3. Eliminate vampire power: unplug idle electronics.
4. Use a power strip to reduce your plug load.
5. Turn off the lights
