South Ripley varsity baseball avenges previous loss to Milan with 6-5 win

Behind the combined pitching efforts of Brady Ruble and Braxton Wilson, the visiting South Ripley Raiders defeated the host Milan Indians in a 6-5 ORVC affair.

Ruble pitched the first 4 innings and faced one batter in the 5th, allowing 5 hits and 4 runs while striking out 5. Wilson took over in the fifth and finished the game, earning his first save of the season.

Ryan Gorrell paced the Raider offense with 2 hits in 4 at-bats, including 2 RBI.

Jacob McGuire took the loss on the mound for Milan.

Brady Alcorn went 2-4 at the plate with a double and an RBI for the Indians.

The South Ripley victory avenges last week’s 11-3 loss to the Indians and puts them at 6-10 on the season, 3-5 in ORVC play. Milan drops to 5-10 on the season and 4-6 in ORVC play.
