South Ripley softball defeats OA in 6-innings

South Ripley softball had a big offensive day in their 17-7 win in 6 innings over Oldenburg Academy on Wednesday.

The Raiders were able to score runs in all 6 innings. Their biggest inning was in the 1st when they scored 5.

Oldenburg Academy trailed just 9-7 heading into the 4th inning before South Ripley would score 8 runs over the final 3 innings of play.

Leading the Raiders at the Plate was Brooklyn Brown, who went 4-4 with 3 doubles and 4 RBI.

Penelope Cullen went 2-3 at the plate with 2 RBI for the Twisters.

Earning the win on the mound for the Raiders was Brown, who struck out, 7 walked 8, and allowed 7 earned runs in 4 innings.

Kate Weber was handed the loss for OA. She pitched 5 and 2/3 innings, striking out 2 and walking 9 while allowing 17 earned runs.
