South Ripley placed 3rd in the ORVC conference tournament on Saturday. This was the first time the tournament hosted all conference schools in over 10 years. 26 players overall competed in the tournament, also a conference record in the past few years, so it is great to see numbers for all teams going up and interest for golf in the region improving.
Anna Block from South Ripley made the all-conference team tying for 5th place overall with a 101. She shot a 52 on the front nine and a 49 on the back..
Also scoring for the Raiders were:
#2 Hailey Richmond shot a 67 on the front, 69 on the back for a total of 136
#3 Emma McCarty a 63 on the front, 69 on the back for a 132
#4 Lily Welch a 67 on the front, 68 on the back for a 135
#5 Mady Hicks a 69 on the front and 69 on the back for a 138
South Ripley’s team score was a 504.
