Greensburg, IN – South Ripley travelled to North Decatur to take on the Chargers in a very good, hostile Indiana high school basketball environment on Saturday night.
The Raiders struggled to find their stride on offense in the first quarter, only scoring 9 points, 6 of those coming from Senior Cole Henry.
The second quarter was a much different story, with the Raiders dominating both sides of the ball, scoring 18 to take a big lead into the locker room. Much of that scoring, again, came from Cole Henry. He made 7/10 free throws in the quarter and added a bucket to end the half with 15 points.
His dominance in this game continued after the intermission as well. The third quarter saw no other Raider scoring other then Henry. He scored all 13 points as South Ripley fed off his success on the defensive end to put this game to bed.
In the fourth, Blaine Ward added 9 points and Gunter added an and-one basket as well. The Raiders cruise to victory behind Henry’s 32 point performance. Coach Beach also added that Senior Chancie Volz held the fort down on the defensive end all game long.
South Ripley improves to 3-0 on the year with this sound victory and will look to keep things up in what is set to be one of the best matchups in all of Indiana on Friday, December 13, when they take on the Hauser Jets.
