South Ripley and Batesville Girls win on 1st night of Ripley County Tourney

South Ripley and Batesville will be the two teams meeting in the Girls Ripley County Tournament Final later this week.

In the first game of the night on Tuesday, defending Ripley County Tournament Champion, South Ripley defeated host school Milan 44-29. The top two scorers for South Ripley in the win were Lydia Cornett with 12 points and Katelynn Samples with 10.

The second game of the night saw Batesville defeat Jac-Cen-Del 56-43 to advance to the tournament final. The top two scorers for the Lady Bulldogs were Alyson Peters with 14 points and Marlee Obermeyer with 13.

The Girls Ripley County Tournament continues Friday night with Jac-Cen-Del taking on Milan in the consolation game at 6pm and Batesville facing South Ripley in the tournament final around 7:30pm.
