(Batesville, IN) – The Southeastern Indiana YMCA partnered with the Batesville Area Chamber of Commerce for a ribbon-cutting to celebrate the official opening of the Y’s Community Outdoor Sports Complex Friday afternoon.

The facility includes four pickleball courts, two half-court basketball courts, lighting, a landscaped shelter, and a trailhead connected to the City of Batesville’s trail system.

A unique feature in the shelter is the donor wall recognizing community members, businesses, organizations, and grant-makers whose contributions made the area possible.

The outdoor area is free and open to anyone in the community who wants to use it.

Friday’s ribbon-cutting and official opening of the complex was part of a weeklong celebration to commemorate the Y’s 30th anniversary.
