Rising Sun, IN—Thursday Morning, Ohio County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to Nelson Road for a single-vehicle accident. When Deputies arrived they found a 1993 Ford Ranger overturned and over an embankment.
The driver, Robert Marksberry, of Florence, IN, was traveling eastbound on Nelson Road when he stated his front wheels started to slide and the back of the truck came around. Marksberry stated that the vehicle rolled three times before coming to rest on its top. Marksberry and his passenger, Julienne Strickling, of Vevay, were uninjured in the crash. The Rising Sun Volunteer Fire Department was on scene to assist with traffic control. Based on the facts from the investigation, deputies believe the primary cause of this crash is traveling too fast for road conditions.
