Shirley Rose Gibbs, of Brookville, was born on January 23, 1937, a daughter to Andrew and Anna Mae Saltz Archer. She married Lowell Gibbs on August 29, 1967 and he preceded her in death on October 5, 2008. Shirley loved to cook, crochet, and do crossword puzzles, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. On September 26, 2018 at the age of 81, she passed away at the Waters of Batesville.
Those surviving who will cherish Shirley’s memory include her daughter Regina Toler of Man, WV, and son, Kenneth (Janice) Kendrick of Seven Mile, OH; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; 4 sisters, Mary, Brenda, and Judy and Pam, and 2 brothers, David and Donald. Besides her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Joy Bolin and 2 siblings, Jack and Pat.
Friends may visit with the family on Tuesday, October 2, 2018 from 11 a.m. until time of service at 1 p.m. at Cook Rosenberger Funeral Home, 929 Main Street, Brookville. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel cemetery.
