Shelter to evacuate animals ahead of potential flooding

Greensburg, IN—Due to the possibility and likelihood of flooding, the Decatur County Animal Shelter has announced they are closing and will be taking preventive measures to evacuate the animals this afternoon. They plan currently to remain closed through Thursday, January 16th for normal business hours as long as the water has receded. If the weather passes and we do not get any rain as of Tuesday, January 14th they will have the animals returned to the shelter and reopen for regular business hours.
