(Ripley County, IN) – Numerous roads, especially across northern Ripley County, remained flooded Wednesday morning, thanks to excessive rainfall the night before.
Several water rescues took place in the county, including one on Salem Road in which someone was trapped on top of his vehicle.
A Ripley County Sheriff’s deputy and an Indiana State Police trooper rescued the man, who safely returned to dry land unharmed.
First responders are reminding you to “Turn Around, Don’t Drown” when you come upon flooded roadways or barricades.
