Several arrested after serving warrant

Greensburg, IN—Last week,  Greensburg Police officers attempted to serve an arrest warrant at Briarwood Apts. When officers knocked on the apartment door, they heard a lot of movement from inside. After a couple of minutes, a male answered the door and allowed officers into the apartment.
As officers entered they observed several individuals inside the apartment. Officers performed a protective sweep of the apartment to identify all individuals in the apartment. During the protective sweep officers allege they located illegal contraband throughout the apartment. Officers also located 47-year-old Amy Hersley of Greensburg, In who was wanted on a local warrant hiding in a closet.
A search warrant was obtained through the Decatur Co Courthouse. Officers with the Greensburg Police Department then executed the warrant and found illegal narcotics and paraphernalia. Several individuals were arrested and transported from the scene to the Decatur Co Jail. Those individuals were the following:

Amy Hersley, 47 charged with possession of methamphetamine and a local warrant.

Mark Dwenger, 53 of Greensburgcharged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, and visiting a common nuisance.

Carissa Hersley, 26 of Greensburg charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of a syringe, possession of paraphernalia, assisting a criminal, and visiting a common nuisance.

Stephanie Whitt, 31 of Greensburg charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of paraphernalia, possession of marijuana, and visiting a common nuisance.

Dylon Newton, 26 of Greensburg charged with maintaining a common nuisance.
