The following are results from the first round of the SEI Junior High Boys Basketball Tournament.
Jac-Cen-Del’s seventh grade beat the Bengals of Greendale 37-21.
For the Eagles, Blake Wagner recorded 13 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks. Darian Grishop garnered 10 points, four boards and three assists while Neil Sullivan tallied nine points, nine caroms, four steals and four dishes.
JCD lost to GMS in the eighth grade game 41-20.
Jac got eight points and six rebounds from Lane Carroll.
The Batesville eighth graders advanced with a 56-29 victory over Sunman-Dearborn. The Bulldogs scored the first 14 points of the game.
BMS saw Brayden Maple collect 18 points and Cayden Drake add eight.
The Bulldog seventh lost 45-27 to Sunman-D.
Carson Hartley scored 11 in the loss for the Blue and White.
South Ripley’s seventh bested St. Louis 36-30.
The Raiders Drew Volz had an incredible scoring night with 31 points. Teammate Brogan Buchanan put in eight.
For St. Lou, Adam Weber netted 13 points and David Koch contributed seven.
The Raider eighth graders carded a 44-41 victory over the Cardinals thanks to a three ball at the buzzer by Landen McGee.
For St. Louis, Jaiden Kuria turned in 23 points while Ben Griewe and David Koch both scored eight.
