Upperclassmen at South Ripley High School will have the opportunity to receive financial advice from one of Indiana’s top officials.
Secretary of State Connie Lawson will give a presentation on financial literacy to the junior and senior class on Thursday at 8:30 a.m.
South Ripley Superintendent Rob Moorhead hopes the presentation will help students avoid money mistakes in the future.
“An opportunity to have a dignitary such as Secretary of State, come to your school and really express her feelings on financial literacy, really sends a message,” Moorhead said.
Lawson has been reaching out to high school students throughout the state to educate them on financial literacy. Last month she made a stop at Switzerland County High School and Rising Sun High School.
