Second Arrest Made in Orange County Deputy Shooting

(Floyd County, IN) – A second person has been arrested in connection with the shooting of an Orange County Deputy on January 3.

Jennings County resident James Adams accused of assisting Austin Schepers flee to Louisville after critically wounding Deputy Zac Andry.

Investigators say Schepers shot Andry multiple times during a traffic stop and was later found and killed by police.

Adams was already being held in the Scott County Jail on unrelated counts. He now faces charges of Assisting a Criminal (Level 5 felony) and False Informing (Class B misdemeanor).
