SE Indiana Voices for Children volunteer training kicks off next week

Ripley County, IN — Southeastern Indiana Voices for Children will start new volunteer training next Friday, March 24.

The initial training is individualized for each volunteer and totals 30 hours.

Southeastern Indiana Voices for Children is a non-profit organization that recruits, educates, and supports Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) volunteers who represent the best interests of child abuse and neglect victims in Ripley County.

“When there’s a CASA championing a child’s best interest, that child is much more likely to have a positive outcome. It’s the CASA’s voice that often leads a child through a complex legal system and into a brighter tomorrow,” said Ripley Circuit Judge Ryan King.

If you’re interested in volunteering, call the agency at (812) 932-0333 or email [email protected].
