Sarah Swain’s four-hit day key in North Decatur’s victory over Southwestern Hanover

Sarah Swain gave Southwestern Hanover fits, as Swain picked up four hits as North Decatur varsity softball picked up an 11-3 victory on Saturday. Swain singled in the first, singled in the second, tripled in the fourth, and singled in the fifth.

The Chargers secured the victory thanks to six runs in the first inning. The offensive firepower was led by Swain, Libby Crawford, and Jo Whitaker, all driving in runs in the inning.

Swain earned the win on the mound for North Decatur. Swain surrendered three runs on nine hits over seven innings, striking out nine and walking zero.

The Chargers racked up 16 hits on the day. Swain, Scudder, Kendall Hostkoette, and Sami Luttel each managed multiple hits for North Decatur Chargers. Swain went 4-for-5 at the plate to lead North Decatur Chargers in hits.
