Sarah Ellen Sparkman, 66 years old of Sunman, IN passed away on Monday, February 19, 2024. Born and raised in Milan, Sarah attended Milan Junior and Senior High School before working for Anchor Glass as an inspector for 30 years. A regular attendee of Little Memory Old Baptist Church, Sarah loved her church and talking about the Lord. She was drawn to nature and not only surrounded herself with the beauty she found outdoors but shared this love with others by taking pictures of the animals, water, and trees. Family was always very important to Sarah and some of her most cherished moments were spent with her mom. Her Jack Russell, Winston, was her best friend who is certainly going to miss their time together.
Sarah will be deeply missed by her daughter Faith Bentle; siblings Loraine Honeycutt, Harriett Carter, Charlotte (Elwood) Amburgey, Jasper C. Sparkman, Anna (Robert) Bentle, Odyne (Matthew) Huffman, and Kennie (Sheri) Sparkman; special niece Kim (Bob) Joerger; and many nieces & nephews. She is preceded in death by siblings OC (Donna) Sparkman, Russell J. Sparkman, Mabelee Sparkman, Olive (Jerry) Horton, and brother-in-law Paul Honeycutt; and parents Elda & Odis Sparkman.
Visitation for Sarah will be held on Thursday, February 22 from 12:30pm – 2:00pm at Little Memory Old Baptist Church. The funeral service will begin at 2:00pm with burial immediately following in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested to help defray the cost of the funeral.
