(Ripley County, IN) – Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Enneking Pressure Cleaning plans to begin work next week on State Road 48 to complete a bridge deck overlay project in Ripley County.
On or after Tuesday, August 15, State Road 48 will close for approximately two weeks at the bridge over Laughery Creek.
The bridge is located 1.7 miles east of State Road 229, east of Napoleon.
During the closure, drivers will be routed along the official detour, which follows State Road 129, State Road 350, and U.S. 421.
INDOT reminds motorists to slow down, use caution and drive distraction-free in and near construction zones.
All work is weather-dependent and schedules are subject to change.
