(West Harrison, IN) – The State Road 46 bridge over the Whitewater River in West Harrison is scheduled to reopen to traffic some time next week.
The bridge located between U.S. 52 and State Road 1 was closed by INDOT in early April for a rehabilitation project, but sustained cosmetic damage earlier this month when a supply truck caught fire while parked on the span.
That fire forced additional work on the bridge, and slightly extended the project.
There were no injuries reported.
