Ruth Elaine Wagner, age 89 of Bright, Indiana passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2019 in Lawrenceburg, Indiana. Born July 9, 1929 in Cincinnati, Ohio the daughter of Charles and Helen (Nees) Tompkins.
Ruth graduated from Western Hills High School in 1947. Married Bert Wagner June 26, 1954 at First Presbyterian Church of Delhi. Worked for Sears & Roebucks for many years and was a member of Providence Presbyterian Church Bright, Indiana, Homemakers of Bright and taught Sunday school for many years.
Ruth is survived by her beloved husband of 65 years Bert Wagner, mother of Tom (Sue) Wagner, Andrew Wagner and Barbara (Todd) Garcia. Grandmother of Ashley (Eric) Baker, Nicholas (Molly) Garcia, Elaina (Ryan Soto) Garcia, Lauren Wagner and Victoria Garcia. Great grandmother of Olivia Baker, Joseph Garcia and Clarie Baker.
Preceded in death by her parents Charles and Helen Tompkins and siblings Carol Hyser, Jennie Martin and Charles “Bud” Tompkins.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, July 9, 2019 from 10:00 A.M. until time of funeral services at 11:00 A.M. all at Providence Presbyterian Church 23983 Salt Fork Road Bright, Indiana 47025 with Rev. Dan Johnson officiating. Burial will follow at Gibson Cemetery Bright, Indiana.
