
Rumpke recently announced that cartons are now accepted in its residential and commercial recycling programs.
To ensure your cartons are recycled, please follow these easy steps:
- Empty the container. Containers still containing liquid will not be recycled
- Remove caps or straws
- Toss the carton in the recycling container with other acceptable items
In addition to cartons, residents can recycle:
- Plastic bottles and jugs (please flatten and reattach the lid)
- Glass bottles and jars (any color)
- Aluminum and steel cans
- Empty aerosol cans (with lids and tips removed)
- Paperboard (cereal boxes, 12-pack containers, etc.)
- Cardboard (broken down to 3′-by-3′ sections)
- A variety of paper products, including:
- Office paper
- Newspaper
- Magazines
- Junk mail and envelopes (with or without windows)
- Telephone books
- Paper grocery bags
