RSRF Awards $216K in New Grants

(Rising Sun, IN) – The Rising Sun Regional Foundation (RSRF) awarded a total of $216,450 in new grants to 13 nonprofits in the second quarter of 2026.

These grants awarded to organizations in Ripley and Ohio counties and the cities of Batesville and Aurora included:

● Aberdeen-Pate Water Company – $30,000 for SCADA Control Systems update.
● American Legion Post 337 – $4,000 for water storage and safety improvements for its FEMA shelter.
● Batesville Area Resource Center – $15,000 for roof replacement.
● Friendship Regional Sewer District – $7,000 for a lawn mower.
● Kids Discovery Factory – $30,000 for The Honey Factory Early Learning Exhibit.
● Lifetime Resources – $7,250 matching funds for small transit vehicle replacement.
● Midwest Equine Trail Foundation – $2,500 for trail drainage repair at Versailles State Park.
● Ohio County Rescue Services – $6,200 for equipment modernization.
● Oldenburg Academy – $10,000 for an Innovation and Design Lab.
● Ripley County Community Foundation – $40,000 matching funds for The Lilly Endowment GIFT initiative.
● Rising Sun Municipal Utilities – $30,000 for sewer screening equipment.
● Rising Sun Ohio County Community School Corporation – $24,500 for a snow truck.
● Town of Sunman – $10,000 for a Safe Stream monitoring system.

Applications for the third grant cycle of 2026 must be submitted by 4:00 p.m. on July 15.
