Ronald J. Moorman, age 45 of Osgood, died Saturday, December 1, 2018 at Margaret Mary Health. Born January 17, 1973 in Batesville, he is the son of Mary (Nee: Meyer) and Herb Moorman. He worked in maintenance as a custodial engineer for Jac-Cen-Del School Corporation.
Ron was an outgoing, sociable person and one of those individuals that never knew a stranger. His family also described him as outdoorsy and indicated that he enjoyed squirrel hunting and a cold Budweiser. He dearly loved his dog Rose and horse Sunny.
Ron is survived by his daughters Caroline and Lydia Moorman, both of Batesville; son Brian Moorman of Osgood; parents Mary and Herb Moorman of Oldenburg; sisters Lynn (Tony) Schwallie of Louisville, Kentucky, Angie (Wade) Rauch of Sunman and nephew Joey Rauch of Sunman.
Ron’s wishes were to be cremated. The family will receive friends from 4 -7 p.m., Friday, December 7th at the Weigel Funeral Home. A memorial mass will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, December 8th at Holy Family Church with Rev. Carl Langenderfer officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family requests memorials to the Jac-Cen-Del School Corporation or Phi Beta Psi Sorority Cancer Research.
