Rohe awarded CCMG contract by Batesville Board of Works

BATESVILLE, IN — Paul H. Rohe Company was awarded the contract for the Community Crossing Matching Grant projects by the Batesville Board of Works.

Aurora-based Rohe submitted a low bid of $997,127. 74. The company will work on several paving projects around the city in 2022.

Also submitting bids were Globe Asphalt Paving Company of Westport and North Vernon-based Dave O’Mara Contracting.

Globe’s bid was $1,131,320.60, while O’Mara turned in a bid of $1,261,474.57.

All three bids were opened at a special Board of Works meeting on August 16 and submitted to the City Attorney and the city’s engineering contractor for review.

The Board of Works is made up of Mayor Mike Bettice, City Council President John Irrgang, and Brad Dreyer.
