
Bob and Jane lived in St. Peter’s during their 53 years of marriage. Bob was a lifelong member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church and served on the Parish Finance Committee, as well as various other roles at the church. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Campbell-Hausfeld, Hill-Rom, American Lifts, Ambusher, and was currently employed at iMedical in Greendale, Indiana.
In addition to his professional career, Bob was passionate about farming, raising soybeans, corn, and livestock with his wife Jane and their five children. They enjoyed gardening as a family, and other activities on the farm as well. He and his brother, Richard, farmed hundreds of acres in the St. Peter’s and Brookville regions, and was often happiest while out in the fields.
He is survived by his son Doug (Ivana) Fussner of Plain City, Ohio; daughters Debbie (Bill) Miller-Pugh of St. Leon, Indiana, Cindy Fussner of St. Peter’s, Indiana and Beth (Phillip) Weingart of Carmel, Indiana; son-in-law Ian Teal of Red River Gorge, Kentucky; grandchildren Raymond, Brittany, Junior, Dylan, Sadie, Clara, Brendan, Ingrid, Gretchen, Robert, Peter, Jackson, Isaac, Cecilia, Noah, Luke, Seth, and Kara; 20 great- grandchildren; sister, Rita (Jim) Messerschmidt of Brookville, Indiana and sister-in-law Mary Jane Fussner of St. Peter’s, Indiana.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife Jane (July 4, 2024), his daughter Sandra Teal, brothers Richard and Ralph Fussner, and brother-in-law Jim Messerschmidt.
Visitation is Sunday, May 17th, from 1 – 4 p.m., with rosary at 12:45 p.m. at Weigel Funeral Home in Batesville. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, May 18th, at 10:00 a.m., at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, with Fr. Vincent Lampert officiating. The burial will follow in the St. Peter’s Church Cemetery.
