Robert L. Nappier, 84 of Dillsboro passed away April 11, 2017 at his home with his family by his side. Robert was born in Williamson, West Virginia on December 17, 1932 to William K. and Thelma (Horne) Nappier. He married Doris May (Wilcox) Nappier January 10, 1954 and she preceded him in death June 5, 2003. Robert was in the Army during the Korean conflict; after his 21 years of service to his country he retired and started working at the Cochran and Chair Company for 16 years in Aurora. He was a member of the Dillsboro American Legion Post #292. Robert enjoyed his family and visiting his friends at the Legion.
Robert is survived by sons: Robert Jr.(Linda) Nappier of Columbus, Ohio; Ron (Andrea) Nappier of Dillsboro; John Nappier of Dillsboro. Brothers: James and George Napier; Sister: Ann Napier. 4 Grandchildren, 3 Great-Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one sister Billie Jean Tridico and brother John Napier.
