Robert Edward Tully passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at his home in Osgood, Indiana. The son of Robert and Elizabeth Tully was born on March 26, 1940 in Cincinnati, Ohio. He was 78 years old.
Bob, as he was known to most of his family and friends, graduated from Elder High School in 1958. The proud US Air Force veteran worked for many years as a Production Manager before retiring from Flink Ink in Cincinnati. Bob was a member of the Milan American legion.
Bob Tully was a big man. He was big not only physically, but in his presence as well. Bob always had the biggest laugh and the broadest smile, when he was in a room, he commanded the room. When his children were little, they knew their dad was the youngest, strongest, and best-looking dad on the street.
Bob’s spring, summer and fall hobby was mowing acres of grass. He and his wife Carolyn were meticulous gardeners, and strangers would regularly compliment them on their lovely roses and manicured lawns. Bob Tully did nothing by halves, and this is the legacy he leaves his family, neighbors and friends.
He is survived by his wife Carolyn, sons Robert Tully of Fullerton, CA, Stephen Tully (Rebecca) of Harrison, OH and Thomas Tully (Kathy) of Bright, IN; daughters, Patricia Tully Ketchikan, AK, and Jayne Tully of Cincinnati; along with five grandchildren, Thomas, Joseph, Jessica, Sarah and Lydia Tully; and nine great grandchildren.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Barbara Wallace and Jane Loehl.
Visitation will be Wednesday, March 13, 2019 from 4-6pm with 6:00pm funeral services all at Meyers Funeral Home, Batesville. Pastor Shawn Crisman officiating. Burial will be in Mud Pike Cemetery the next day.
