Robert E. “Bob” Cooper, age 81 of Batesville, Indiana, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2026, at St. Andrews Health Campus in Batesville. Born April 10, 1945, in Milan, Indiana, he is the son of Lloyd and Maryetta (Nee: Williamson) Cooper. He married Sharon Rosemeyer on April 30, 1966, at the Batesville United Methodist Church in Batesville. Bob served his country in the United States Navy.
Bob worked for the Hill-Rom Company in Batesville for over 30 years and owned and operated Coopers Home Remodeling, before retiring. He was a member of the Batesville Eagles Aerie 1130 since 1974, and a member of the Ripley County Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #3183 and by the Prell-Bland American Legion Post #271 of Batesville. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, Corvettes, and was an avid Indiana Hoosiers fan.
He is survived by his wife Sharon of Batesville; children Tim (Missy) Cooper and Greg (Cheryl) Adams, both of Batesville; grandchildren Kayla (Kyle) Hountz of Batesville, Jeremy Hitch of Columbus, IN, Brandon Adams of Batesville, Gabby Copper of New Port, KY, Gus Cooper of Batesville, and Amanda (Andy) Schneider of Batesville; and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and grandson Tylor Adams.
