Robert Richard Van Hook, age 64 passed away on Monday, June 3, 2024 at Margaret Mary Hospital.
The son of William and Marilyn (Cook) Van Hook was born on July 13, 1959 in Terre Haute, IN.
Bob moved to Batesville with his family in 1971 as a 6th grader. He went onto graduate from Batesville High School in 1977. Bob worked for Hill-Rom for many years before moving onto Valeo where he eventually retired.
Bob was an avid Colts fan attending most of their home games since 1987. He really disliked the Bengals and that was putting it mildly. Bob was a true outdoorsman and enjoyed living out in the country. Going to Friendship for the shoots was another one of his favorite things to do. Bob belonged to the National Rifle Association and the National Muzzle Loaders Association.
He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Daryl Lea Van Hook. He is survived by his many close friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, June 11, 2024 from 6-8pm at Meyers Funeral Home in Batesville.
