Robert “Bob” Martin

Robert L Martin, aka Bob Shannon, from WSCH radio, 70, of Aurora, Indiana, passed away on New Year’s Day at his Hogan Township home following a battle against lung cancer.

Bob had a 44 year career in local radio, most of which was with Eagle 99.3. Being on the local radio for years, Bob had already become an inextricable part of the fabric of southeastern Indiana. He was also inducted into the Southeastern Indiana Musicians Hall of Fame as an honorary member in 2005.

He loved working around the house and doing yard work. Bob loved animals, especially his dogs, Gabby & Alex. He had an awesome sense of humor, and was very witty. Bob will be greatly missed.
