Batesville, IN — Indiana Department of Transportation contractor Paul H. Rohe Company continues work on a stormwater project on Smith Street in Batesville between George and Pearl streets.
Smith Street is closed during the project.
A crew will work on the water main trench repair along Boehringer Street from Park to Eastern avenues.
Patching, milling, and paving will continue on several streets this week:
- Boehringer Street from Park to Eastern Avenue;
- Hillenbrand Avenue from State Road 229 to Main Street;
- Smith Street from George to Pearl;
- George Street from Mulberry to Vine.
Concrete work will begin on Tuesday, November 1 on Bedel Boulevard about 588 feet east of State Road 229 near Batesville Dunkin’ and Taco Bell/KFC.
City officials say all businesses in that area will remain open.
INDOT and the City of Batesville want to remind drivers to slow down, avoid distractions, and consider worker safety when traveling through active construction zones.
