(Columbus, IN) – River Valley Legal Aid and Pro Bono Indiana will hold a free legal aid phone clinic for residents of Decatur County and others in their eight-county district tomorrow (Wednesday, December 4) from 3 to 5:30 p.m.
The eight-county service area also includes Bartholomew, Brown, Jackson, Jennings, Johnson, Rush, and Shelby counties.
The Pro Bono Indiana program uses local volunteer attorneys who offer free legal consultations to low-income residents who might not otherwise be able to afford a lawyer.
Those who call the phone clinic can expect a brief consultation in which an attorney will answer general and eviction questions, offer legal information, or other limited assistance.
You must register by calling (812) 378-0358 between noon and 2 p.m. tomorrow.
A volunteer attorney will return calls to registered people tomorrow between 3 and 5:30 p.m.
