Ripley, Franklin counties move to Yellow on state COVID metrics map

BATESVILLE, IN — Margaret Mary Health (MMH) has continued to see low COVID-19 patient volumes this week.

Both Ripley and Franklin counties experienced a drop in the Covid seven-day positivity rate. The Ripley County status changed from orange to yellow with a seven-day positivity rate of 6.96%. The Franklin County status also changed from orange to yellow with a 6.63% positivity rate.

Decatur and Dearborn counties remain in Yellow this week.

The hospital currently has 18 patients on the Medical/Surgery floor, and two patients in the Special Care Unit.  Only four of Margaret Mary Health’s patients are Covid-positive.   The overall percentage of admitted patients since August 1 who were unvaccinated continues to stay steady at around 84% (Please see chart for more details).

Although testing for COVID-19 decreased from the previous week, the hospital’s positivity rate increased, with 32 patients testing positive and a current positivity rate of 21.5%.  (Please see chart for more details on testing results)
