Ripley County Health Dept., SIYMCA Partnering on Safe Sitter Class

(Batesville, IN) – The Ripley County Health Department will conduct a Safe Sitter Essentials with CPR class on Saturday, April 20 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Southeastern Indiana YMCA.

The class is designed to prepare students to be safe when they’re home alone watching younger siblings or babysitting.

The instructor-led class is filled with fun games and role-playing exercises, and students will use mannequins to practice rescue skills, such as what to do when someone’s choking.

The $25 class fee includes an informational notepad. Students should bring a packed lunch, with some snacks and water provided.
