Ripley County Fair is a go without midway or exhibits

Osgood, IN—The Ripley County 4-H Corporation Board met on Monday to make some decisions. As the current plan stands, if the county reaches Stage 5 of reopening by July 4th, Ripley County intends on holding the 4-H Fair.  However, there may be some differences in this year’s fair compared to the past.

All exhibit hall projects will be judged in a closed judging setting. Animal Projects will be shown in a show-and-go type setting. This means that there will be no animals on the premises overnight. Animals will be shown from the trailer with a limited number of pins in the barns for those who need them. Due to the nature of this style, the showtimes and schedule will be slightly altered and an updated schedule will be sent out in the coming weeks.

All 4-H’ers will have the ability to chose a virtual way of completing their project if they or their family does not feel comfortable in coming to the 4-H fair. The auction will be held in an online format. There will be a limited number of food vendors and they will have a limited menu.
There will not be any Open Class Exhibits, Commercial Exhibits, Midway Rides, Grandstand Events, Miss Ripley County Queen Contest, Little Miss Ripley County Queen Contest, Baby Show or Pedal Tractor Pull.
