Osgood, IN — Eight-grade students from several Ripley County schools got to experience the everyday ups and downs in the life of an adult during WRBI’s Reality Check Wednesday at Jac-Cen-Del Jr./Sr. High School.

In addition to the host school, students from Batesville and Milan middle schools, plus St. Nicholas and St. Louis schools participated.

The program that offers students a chance to get a taste of adult life by making choices, selecting careers, budgeting, and dealing with family situations, among other things, returned after it was put on hold because of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Students, educators, and volunteers say the experience provides a valuable lesson about the challenges faced by grown-ups.
