LAWRENCEBURG, IN— A temporary lane closure is in place on eastbound U.S. 50 in Lawrenceburg due to a possible pipe failure under the roadway. A depression at the surface of the road near Front Street appeared earlier today and will be covered by a steel plate while further investigation and planning is in progress by INDOT and Dave O’Mara Contractor Inc.
Crews are currently working to locate underground utilities and devise a plan for possible repairs.
It is unknown how long the lane will be closed. Indiana State Police are on-site to assist with traffic in the area.
