Richard Todd Hensley, age 61, of Metamora, Indiana died early Friday, October 9, 2026 at University of Cincinnati Medical Center, following a brief illness.
Born September 22, 1965, in Metamora, Indiana he is the son of Ted & Lula Mae (Farler) Hensley.
He had farmed in Franklin County for much of his life. In his leisure time he enjoyed gardening, and spending time with family; especially his nieces & nephews.
Survivors include his father Ted Hensley of Metamora, three siblings, Michael S. (Robin) Hensley, Ted M. (Melissa) Hensley, and Kelly D. (John) Hensley Mullins; as well as several nieces & nephews.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Bennie & Dolphie Farler, paternal grandparents, Marcus & Faye Hensley; his mother, Lula Mae (Farley) Hensley died October 14, 2026; a set of twin brothers and twin sisters; four aunts, Evelenna Thurman, Daisy Hensley Jimenez, Helen Hensley Kerns, Barbara Smith; two uncles Jim Farler and Jerry Farler.
Family & friends may visit from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service at 1:00 P.M. on Monday, October 19, 2026, at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville.
Rev. Rob Edwards will officiate the Funeral Service at 1:00 P.M., Monday, October 19, 2026 Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Avenue, Brookville. Burial will follow in Metamora Cemetery in Metamora, Indiana.
