Richard Ray Thomas, 91, of Greensburg, passed away peacefully on September 16, 2026. He was born July 3, 1935, in Whitesburg, Kentucky, the son of Culbert and Nancy Madden Thomas. Richard was a 1955 graduate of New Point High School. He dedicated more than 30 years of his working life to American Lifts, where he worked as a welder until his retirement in 2000.
Richard is survived by his children, Sandy Arthur, Pat Sunderland, Janet (Todd) Wilson, Larry (Debbie) Thomas, Bill Thomas, Ron (Amy) Thomas. He was preceded by his parents; wife, Lois Ann Thomas; son, Bill Thomas; brothers, Gerald Thomas, and Gobal Thomas; and sisters, Nina Mozingo and Shelby Bockover.
A visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, September 23, 2026 from 11:00 am until the time of the funeral services at 12:00 pm at the Gilliland-Howe Funeral Home. Rev. Charlie Combs will be officiating. Burial will follow at the Rossburg Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Little Pilgrim Home Church, 7414 N. 101 Milan, IN 47031.
