RICHARD J. SCHULER, age 77

Richard J. Schuler, age 77, of Brookville, Indiana died Thursday, April 13, 2017 at Christ Hospital in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Born March 16, 1940 in Oxford, Ohio he was the son of the late Peter & Margaret (Haas) Schuler. He was a veteran of the United States Army.
Dick was retired, having worked for many years as a Union Painter in Hamilton, Ohio.
He was a member of St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Brookville, the Bernard Hurst Post #77 of the American Legion, the Wilbur Dennison Post #2014 of the Veterans of Foreign Wars; Fraternal Order of Eagles #1129 of Brookville; as well as the Fraternal Order of Redmen Oshawnee #220, Brookville.
Survivors include two daughters, Diane (Steve) Pflum of Brookville, Indiana and Jeannie Heil of Bright, Indiana; a son, Steve (Tania) Schuler of Muncie, Indiana; a sister, Rosalie Doran of Eaton, Ohio; five grandchildren as well as six great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Janet Parkinson, and two infant grandchildren Phillip & James Pflum.
Family & friends may visit from 4 until 7 P.M. on Monday, April 17, 2017 at Phillips & Meyers Funeral Home, 1025 Franklin Ave., Brookville.
Rev. John Kamwendo will officiate the Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, April 18, 2017, 10:30 A.M., at St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church, 145 East St. Michael Blvd., Brookville. Burial with full military graveside honors by the Bernard Hurst Post #77 of the American Legion will follow in St. Michael Catholic Cemetery in Brookville.
