Richard Dale Busse, 71, of Milan, Indiana, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2022, at Mercy Fairfield, Ohio.
He was born March 5, 1951, in Cincinnati, OH, son of the late Lee Busse and Helen (Hastings) Busse.
Richard worked as a Lead Deck Hand for Ingram Barge Line and ACBL, with over 30 years of combined service.
He was a member of Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Dillsboro, IN.
He was a past member of the Eagles FOP in North Vernon, IN. Richard enjoyed music, and loved participating in Karaoke. He also enjoyed fishing. He was quiet and laid back and a friend to many. In his death, Richard helped many by being a donor.
Richard is survived by his son, Lewis (Erica) Busse of DePere, WI; brother, David Busse of Dillsboro, IN; sister, Diana (Mick) Johnston of Dillsboro, IN; grandchildren, Gavin Busse, Nathan Busse, & Gretchen Busse; nieces and nephews, John (Beth) Busse, Brent (Kelly) Busse, Brian (Kim) Johnston, and Stacey (Marco) Matavuli; additional great nieces and great nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Lee and Helen Busse; infant brother, Danny Busse.
Private family services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Interment will follow in the River View Cemetery, Aurora, Indiana.
