Rhonda (Hammons) Amm, 55, of Dillsboro passed away Saturday, December 16, 2023 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Edgewood, Kentucky. Rhonda was born on Tuesday, June 4, 1968 in Lawrenceburg; daughter of William and Virginia “Jenny” (Phipps) Hammons. Rhonda worked at Hill-Rom for 18 years as an assembler. Rhonda married the love of her life, Ronald “Ron” Amm, on August 14, 1999 and he survives. Rhonda was a past member of the Dillsboro American Legion Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, crafting, putting together puzzles, and doing word search puzzles. Rhonda was known as a caring mother and wife and was also a caretaker of her brother David Hammons.
Rhonda will be missed by her husband Ron Amm of Dillsboro; son Ronald Jacob “RJ” Amm of Dillsboro; and brother David Hammons of Dillsboro.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents William and Jenny Hammons and brother William Hammons.
Family and friends may gather in remembering Rhonda from 10:00 AM-12:00 PM Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at the Filter-DeVries-Moore Funeral Home in Dillsboro. A service will immediately follow at 12:00 PM with Pastor Tom Holt officiating. Burial will take place at Oakdale Cemetery. Memorials may be given in honor of Rhonda to the Alzheimer’s Association or the Dillsboro Emergency Unit.
